Fishing The Trinity River
The Trinity River kicks off in June with the first wave of Spring Salmon. The early "springers" are the brightest, hardest fighting fish on the West Coast at this time. Over the last decade the runs of salmon on the Trinity have skyrocketed, from the very small runs in the 80's to the record breaking runs of the late 90's and early 2000.
July and August are the prime months on the Trinity for spring salmon, with the
upper river having bright Kings in virtually every hole. At this time you can
look forward to cool mornings, hot days and great fishing. About 3/4 of the way
through our spring run (late August - early September) comes the next run of
Kings - our Fall salmon. With the arrival of the fall kings also comes the change
of weather and scenery on the Trinity. Cool, crisp mornings, beautiful days and
the fall colors abound. As of late, the Fall Kings have returned to
the Trinity in historic numbers.
Your fishing talent will be tested when fighting both the Springers and Fall fish as we fish for them on light line in a very small, intimate river. The fish range from 8 pounds to whoppers over 30 pounds. Come and enjoy the beautiful Trinity River, it's great fish and wildlife (deer, bear, bald eagles, possibly even see an elk.) We invite you to come fish the scenic Trinity in peace and solitude.
While floating down the Trinity in our custom drift boat you will be assured that we will put you over fish. We are the #1 King Salmon guide service on the Trinity River. At the end of the Fall King run, the steelheading begins on the Trinity and stays
in full force through all the winter months. Our steelhead range from 4-10 lbs,
with an occasional lunker in the low teens. We have been your fly specialist
for over a decade on the Trinity river. Whether it is swing or indicator fishing,
we are well versed in both methods. With the knowledge of being on the river
everyday, we see what the hatch is and when it occurs so that we can have our
clients sitting over the fish at the optimum time using the right fly. We pride
